Reason for hold (BOM settings)
You can stop users adding, editing or allocating stock to a BOM by putting a BOM A stock assembly and process costing system, which provides facilities to specify the structure of finished items in terms of sub-assemblies and components. on hold.
Set up reason for hold codes that can be applied when BOMs are put on hold.
Open: Bill of Materials > Utilities > System Set Up > Bill of Materials Settings | Reason for Hold.

Use the Reason for Hold tab to set up the reason for hold codes for use in your system.
The following system defined reason for hold codes are specified:

Migration: This is used when putting on hold legacy data that has been migrated.

Version Control: This is used when putting BOMs on hold while version control is in use.
Note: The system defined reason for hold codes cannot be changed or deleted.
Note: If you put a phantom BOM on hold there is no effect, and it does not prevent the phantom BOM from being processed.
What do you want to do?
Open: Bill of Materials > Utilities > System Set Up > Bill of Materials Settings | Reason for Hold.

Click Add.

Enter a unique Code.

Enter a Description for this code.
Open: Bill of Materials > Utilities > System Set Up > Bill of Materials Settings | Reason for Hold.

Click in the Code box of an existing code.

Enter another unique code instead of the existing code.

Click in the Description box of an existing code.

Enter another description instead of the existing description.

Open: Bill of Materials > Utilities > System Set Up > Bill of Materials Settings | Reason for Hold.

Highlight the line of the code to delete.
Note: You cannot delete the Version Control code.

Click Delete.

Click Yes to confirm the deletion.
